Central is delivering a number of courses that include online learning along with face to face, offering you a flexible way to study. The courses are fully facilitated by qualified lecturers who collaborate closely with you and your classmates during the process.

Through your study, you may take part in a range of other activities including a combination of virtual classrooms (using Blackboard Collaborate), text discussions, journals and blogs, social media, quizzes, Web quests, online and offline reading, study and project activities.

Requirements:

This is what you will need to have access to enable you to study online:

 

Technical:

  • Reliable broadband internet access
  •  Headset with speakers and microphone (for interactive Blackboard Collaborate sessions)
  • Computer with ability to edit Word Documents (.doc / .docx)
  • Computer with ability to view Adobe Portable Documents (.pdf)
  •  Access to a video recording device with the capability to transfer to a computer / YouTube (e.g. iPhone or similar smartphone, or traditional video camcorder)

For fitness courses, you will also require  access to a gym or fitness centre (work placement or employment) with a qualified Certificate IV Fitness Trainer

 

Your skills:

You will need some basic computer skills.
