What is a work-based traineeship?
A traineeship is a full-time or part-time work-based training arrangement. A trainee gains work experience and has the opportunity to learn new skills in a hands-on environment. All training can be completed on-the-job.
On successful completion, the trainee earns a nationally recognized qualification.
Traineeships generally take 12-24 months and the trainee enters into a formal training contract with his/her employer for the duration of the traineeship.
A traineeship can commence at any time.
