Central's Engineering portfolio provides customized training to the manufacturing, resources, engineering and service industries in Western Australia.

Because of our training design expertise and state of the art facilities, Central is able to provide companies with the skills and knowledge they need to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
 
Our strong links and working relationships with industry enables us to provide training solutions that are relevant and responsive to needs such as our short courses in non-destructive testing (NDT) and Welding Supervision and Fabrication/Welding inspection training.
 
Training is delivered at our Northbridge and East Perth campuses and for some of these courses can be undertaken at company premises.

Wear Testing Services

Central also operates a comprehensive Wear Management Centre to assist in the development of wear materials for the resources, oil & gas, manufacturing, engineering and associated industries.
 
It is the only such facility in the southern hemisphere where work undertaken ranges from wear materials tests and ore abrasivity assessment to compete applied research and development projects.
 
Currently the following wear tests can be undertaken:
 
  • Dry Sand Rubber Wheel ASTM G65
  • Wet Sand Rubber Wheel ASTM G 105
  • Pin on Drum ASTM G 132
  • Paddle Test
  • Pendulum Groove Test
  • Cerchar Test
  • Bond Abrasion Index
