Fees

Fees at Central Institute of Technology are made up of a course fee and a resource fee.

Your course fee is calculated on the basis of course hours that includes a wide range of delivery and assessment activities could include:

  • Lectures
  • Assessments
  • Tutorials
  • Seminars
  • Flexible delivery
  • Research
  • Online learning
  • Project work
  • Work experience/industry placement, field work, on the job training
  • Group work.

Access and Bridging Courses​ ​ ​

Resource Fee

The resource fee covers the cost of the materials/consumables used in each unit/module per semester and charges vary from course to course. The fee does not include text books, and you may need to purchase additional materials.

 

Concession Rate

The concession rate is available to students who receive one of the following concessions:

  • Austudy/Abstudy
  • Youth Allowance
  • Health Care Card
  • 15-17 year old concession (students who turn 17 during their year of study are eligible for the 15-17 year old concession category. Proof of age will be required)
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Veteran Health Card.

To claim the concessional rate you must provide proof of your concession at the time of enrolment otherwise you will be charged the full cost. 


Outstanding Debts

Students who have a debt from the previous semester will not be able to enrol for the following semester until arrangements have been made to pay for their outstanding debt. To arrange payment for a debt from a previous semester, you will need to contact our Student Debtors office on 9202 4710.
